The Clean, Renewable, and Affordable Energy Source of the Future

Solar energy is the energy that is generated from the sun. It is a renewable energy source, meaning that it can be used over and over again without running out. Solar energy is also clean energy, meaning that it does not produce greenhouse gases or other pollutants.

There are two main types of solar energy:

• Solar thermal energy uses the sun's heat to generate electricity or heat water. Solar thermal collectors use mirrors or lenses to focus sunlight onto a heat transfer fluid, which can then be used to generate steam or heat water. Solar thermal power plants can generate electricity on a large scale, while solar thermal water heaters can be used for domestic hot water or space heating.

Solar energy is a growing source of energy around the world. In 2021, solar power generated about 2.9% of the world's electricity. Solar energy is expected to continue to grow in the coming years, as it becomes more affordable and efficient.
