Laserman are very excited to introduce the world’s first laser that is visible outdoors, whilst still categorised as a Class 2 laser! Whilst there are many potential uses, we thought we’d first look at an application that we’ve had many enquiries about. Truck parking for loading or unloading.
Using a bright line-generating laser can assist truck drivers when reversing into a parking bay.
Here’s how it works:
Precision Alignment:
The laser projects a bright line onto the ground, helping the driver align the truck accurately with the parking bay. This is especially useful for large vehicles like trucks, where precise positioning matters. Less time is spent re-aligning or second-guessing.
Distance Estimation:
The laser line indicates the distance between the truck and the bay. By aligning the line with the desired parking spot, the driver can estimate how far they need to reverse.
Visibility:
In low-light conditions or tight spaces, the laser provides better visibility than relying solely on mirrors. It helps drivers avoid obstacles and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles or structures.
Maintenance:
Parking bays in an industrial setting, especially high-traffic areas require regular paint re-marking as the lines become less visible in a very short period of time.
