RD312 Metal Cover and Magnetic Underground Services Locator
The Radiodetection RD312 Metal Cover Locator features a high standard of simplicity and reliability, ideal for enhancing the efficiency of on-site work and achieving fast results. This metal cover locator is capable of detecting items buried beneath a variety of substances including road surfaces, gravel, grass or snow. By ignoring small items such as coins and cans, the RD312 is suitable for locating a wide array of hidden covers and more:
- Valve box covers
- Vault covers
- Fuel tanks
- Reinforced rods in concrete (rebar)
- Manhole covers
Automatically adjusting sensitivity to suit the local operating environment, the Radiodetection RD312 Locator remains at peak performance even when near metal fences or under parked cars. With no interference from passing vehicles and a tactile colour-coded button interface, this portable unit is easy-to-use and incredibly versatile. A varying pitch tone is produced by the loudspeaker to indicate the presence of a buried object, with the highest pitch indicating maximum response over target. However, should the user employ the optional headphones this will disable the speaker from producing any audio tones. Other features built-into the RD312 include an audio battery “OK” indication and Auto Gain Reset function.
